Winter Weather Advisory
Issued by the National Weather Service at 3:42 PM CST on January 5, 2009

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from midnight tonight to
9 am CST Tuesday...

The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a Winter Weather
Advisory for sleet... freezing rain... freezing drizzle... and
snow... which is in effect from midnight tonight to 9 am CST
Tuesday.

Areas of freezing rain... freezing drizzle... sleet and snow will develop
later this evening over northwestern Arkansas and slide into southeastern
Missouri and southern Illinois after midnight. The precipitation will
be light in nature with minor ice accumulations expected. By mid morning
on Tuesday... the temperatures will begin to rise above freezing as
the precipitation slowly winds down.

A Winter Weather Advisory is issued for a variety of winter
weather conditions... such as snow... blowing snow... sleet... or
freezing drizzle and rain. It only takes a small amount of wintry
precipitation to make roads... bridges... sidewalks... and parking
lots icy and dangerous. It is often difficult to tell when ice
begins to form... so do not be caught off guard.
